Sherryn is a Melbourne based mixed media, acrylic, watercolour and charcoal artist working on canvas, linen and papers.
Learning to draw before she could walk, Sherryn was encouraged by her Mother, inspired by her ancestors and Grandmother and developed into a self taught artist. Sherryn then studied art by distance education during VCE from a small Gippsland country school and continued on to further education at a university level in Melbourne.
An inherited unpredictable shaking of the hands when working on details hasn't stopped Sherryn from completing complex illustrations but has fuelled her desire for perfection in charcoal and expanded her range of creativity in paints.
Sherryn's sells paintings and artworks all around Australia and prints are available to ship around the world. While she is still relatively new to the commissioned art world, her prints are quickly becoming noticed.
"I've always been hesitant to sell my original art pieces!" she laughs, "While prints are beautiful and more affordable the originals are where the soul is." |
