Eleanor Bassett is a Mornington Peninsula based artist who specialises in resin art, as well as acrylic painting and drawing. Her love for art and creativity began early on in life, drawing since being able to hold a pencil.
Nature has always been an immense source of inspiration for Eleanor. Her resin art is inspired by the many colours of the sky and also the rugged coastline of the Mornignton Peninsula, where she has lived most of her life.
By using various techniques, Eleanor is able to achieve realistic oceans and beachscapes with resin. From wild and moody seas, to something more calm and tropical. From pearlescent abstracts to shimmery pastel skies with flashes of metallic that pop in just the right light, Eleanor's work has been described as mesmerising and unique. Her resin paintings create an illusion of depth and complexity with its many layers, with a stunning glass-like finish.
Eleanor has exhibited and sold her art at The Somers Art fair in 2018 and also hangs works in local shops and cafes on the Peninsula.
When Eleanor isn't creating her art, she loves to spend time with her husband and two boys, excercising and cooking. |
