ARTIST BIO

Lisa O'Keefe studied at the ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE des BEAUX-ARTS, Paris, graduating in Painting(Mention Bien-Australian Equivalent=B.A.Honours). She spent many years there developing her practice, and continued to work as a full-time painter on her return to Australia.

Her work, while figurative, is not traditional in style and springs from the imagination. The figures, emotions and landscapes tend to find themselves in more abstract spaces. Attention is paid to colour, composition and the tactile qualities of paint.

Lisa has exhibited consistently over the years in solo and group shows, and is represented in corporate and private collections in France, the U.S., Great Britain and Australia.

Some of these include:- Shows at Melaleuca Gallery, Anglesea, Tacit Galleries, The Essoign Club, the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron Art Show- Best in Show 2022, MSWPS Art Show-Highly Commended 2022, PST and the Victorian Artists Society Art Shows.
