The 2024 Show will also exhibit fabulous works from some very talented local artisans, including Mary McMahon and her delightful mosaics, Sandi Faulkner and her seaside-themed ceramics, Wendy Brace with her marvellous metal sculptures and Rob Broersen with skilful driftwood sculptures. Now is the time to start planning for 2024!
You may like to think about nominating your work for consideration in this category. The peninsula presents so many beautiful vistas, beyond the coastline. We saw a great variety of perspectives nominated in this category.
The winner this year was Rosa D'Argent's 'Sun, Sea, Sand, Wine & Dine'.
Congratulations to all 2023 Prize winners as well as those artists who received a Highly Commended and Commended for their Artwork. Thank you to our Judge Susan O'Brien.
The winner for the best oil was Matthew Petrucci for 'Private Thoughts/ an Ode to Lockdown #4'.
See the following page for all of our award winners.
Over the past 51 years the Mornington Art Show has raised in excess of $1.1 million, with 65% of the funds have been spent on local Mornington area projects. In mounting a show of this size, Rotarians are supported by many other volunteers from our community. Thank you to everyone who plays a part.
